Protecting Angell Woods- Conference with Me Jean-François Girard

Dear Member,

Would you like to know more about what can be done to save Angell Woods?

APAW, along with S.A.V.E. (Senneville As a Village Environment) and the Comité de l’Anse à l’Orme has organized an evening with a well known lawyer, biologist and conservation advocate, Me Jean-François Girard ( Dufresne, Hébert, Comeau) for January 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Beaconsfield Annex- 1974 City Lane, Beaconsfield.

His topic of discussion will be: understanding the existing laws that can enable municipalities to protect their green spaces, making sense of the legal and fiscal aspects of them and providing information for both residents and municipal councilors to help make the preservation of green space an attainable reality. He will also be using concrete examples of jurisprudence to illustrate his points making it more meaningful to us all.

Places are limited, so please reserve your place by sending us an email at angellwoods@yahoo.ca .

Please note that the presentation will be in French, with some support in English if need be.
